Shopix – Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 17, 2025

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Shopix mobile application, developed and published by Hadi Hatunoğlu (MadeByH2O). By using Shopix, you agree to these Terms and the accompanying Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Shopix, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

2. User Responsibilities

Users agree to the following responsibilities:

• Keeping account credentials secure and confidential
• Not attempting to hack, damage, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Shopix, Firebase services, Cloud Functions, or any related infrastructure
• Not performing automated attacks such as DDoS, brute-force, scraping, or exploit attempts
• Not abusing premium trials, subscription features, or creating multiple accounts for manipulation
• Reporting any discovered security vulnerabilities responsibly without exploiting them
• Using the app only for lawful and legitimate purposes
• Not interfering with the normal operation of the application

3. No Warranty

Shopix aims to provide the best possible user experience. However, the application is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

Shopix does not guarantee:

• The accuracy of OCR results
• The availability or uptime of Firebase, Cloud Functions, Adapty, or other services
• Prevention of data loss
• The compatibility of the app with all devices
• That premium features will always be available or uninterrupted

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shopix and its developer shall not be liable for any damages, losses, inaccuracies, or issues arising from:

• Use or inability to use the application
• Incorrect OCR results or analysis
• Service outages, downtime, or Firebase-related failures
• Premium features not functioning temporarily
• Loss or corruption of user data
• User error, misuse, or negligence
• Account compromise due to insecure credentials
• Payment or subscription issues handled by Apple or Google

Shopix is a record-keeping and analysis tool. Users are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of displayed information.

5. Account Suspension & Termination

The developer reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user account under the following circumstances:

• Security vulnerabilities being exploited or attempted to be exploited
• Hacking, reverse-engineering, or unauthorized access attempts
• Abuse of premium features or promotional offers
• Malicious activity that harms Shopix or other users
• Legal requirements or compliance obligations

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Shopix offers optional premium features. All payments and subscriptions are handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Shopix does not process or store any payment information.

6.1 Subscription Management

Subscriptions cannot be canceled inside the app. Users must manage or cancel subscriptions via:

• iOS: App Store Subscription Settings
• Android: Google Play Subscription Settings

6.2 Free Trials

Shopix may offer promotional free trials from time to time. Availability, duration, and conditions are determined solely by the developer and may change without notice.

6.3 Premium Features

Certain features, such as OCR receipt scanning or family sharing, may require a premium subscription. Some features may be available for free on a limited or trial basis, at the developer's discretion. The developer reserves the right to modify the availability, limits, and pricing of these features at any time.

6.4 Refunds

All payments, charges, and refunds related to subscriptions or in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), according to their respective policies.

• Refund requests must be made directly through the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Shopix and its developer do not review, approve, or process refunds and have no control over refund decisions.
• No additional refund, reimbursement, or credit is provided by the developer beyond what is offered by Apple or Google.

7. Data Handling

By using Shopix, you also agree to the terms outlined in the Privacy Policy. Shopix processes user data through:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firestore Database
• Firebase Storage
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
• Cloud Functions (custom backend logic)

7.1 Data Deletion

User data is handled and deleted under the following conditions:

• Users can delete their data and sign out using the in-app option (e.g., “Delete all my data and sign out”). This action permanently removes their stored Shopix data from Firestore and Firebase Storage, to the extent technically possible.
• Data may be deleted when an account is terminated by the user or by the developer under Section 5.
• Data may also be retained or deleted if required by applicable law or legal process.
• Crash and analytics data are subject to Google’s standard retention policies and may persist for a limited period even after account deletion.

8. Third-Party Services

Shopix relies on third-party services such as Firebase, Cloud Functions, and Adapty. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Your use of such third-party services (e.g., Google Firebase, Adapty) is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Shopix is not responsible for outages, limitations, data loss, or failures caused by any third-party service provider.

9. License and Intellectual Property

Shopix is licensed, not sold, to the user. Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Users may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Resell, sublicense, or transfer the app or any license rights to a third party
• Use the app’s name, logo, or branding without prior written permission

All rights, title, and interest in and to Shopix, including all content, design, logos, and intellectual property, remain with the developer, unless otherwise stated. All rights are reserved.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

11. Changes to Terms

The developer reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time, including changes to features, pricing, subscriptions, or legal requirements. Continued use of Shopix after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
