This Privacy Policy applies to the Shopix mobile application developed and published by Hadi Hatunoğlu (MadeByH2O). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your data is handled.

1. Data Collection

Shopix collects only the data required to provide its core features. This includes:

• Receipt photos uploaded by the user
• Extracted text from receipts (OCR)
• Shopping history, product names, categories, and spending details
• User-created shopping lists
• Authentication information via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or Guest Mode (Firebase Authentication)
• Crash logs through Firebase Crashlytics
• Anonymous analytics events through Firebase Analytics

Shopix does not collect location data, advertising identifiers, or any unnecessary device information.

2. Purpose of Data Use

Data collected by Shopix is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Processing receipts and displaying spending history
• Analyzing product-level expenses
• Providing weekly and monthly spending reports
• Saving and syncing shopping lists
• Enabling premium features (OCR scanning, family sharing)
• Improving app stability and performance (Crashlytics)
• Understanding app usage to improve user experience (Analytics)

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Sharing

Shopix only shares data with essential service providers:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Firestore Database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics
• Adapty — Subscription and premium feature management

No other companies or individuals receive any user data.

4. Data Storage

User data is stored securely using Firebase cloud infrastructure:

• Receipt images in Firebase Storage
• Expense data, shopping lists, and OCR results in Firestore Database
• Account information in Firebase Authentication
• Crash and usage analytics in Crashlytics and Analytics

No sensitive data is stored locally on the device.

5. Data Retention

User data is retained as long as the user’s account remains active. Users may delete their data at any time via the in-app option “Delete all my data and sign out”. Crashlytics and Analytics data follow Google's default retention policies.

6. Access to Data

Only the developer, Hadi Hatunoğlu, may access user data, and solely for maintenance or troubleshooting purposes. No other individuals or companies have access to any user data.

7. Data Security

Shopix uses multiple layers of protection to keep your data safe:

• All communication uses secure HTTPS encryption
• Firestore and Storage are protected with strict Firebase Security Rules
• User authentication is handled securely via Firebase Authentication
• No sensitive data is stored locally on the device
• Each user can access only their own data (family accounts use a shared controlled data pool)

8. User Rights

Users have the following rights:

• View their data inside the app
• Delete their data using the in-app data deletion button
• Delete their account at any time
• Contact the developer for privacy-related inquiries
